Welcome to my chair! I’m Sabrina Dunahay, I’ve lived in Denver my whole life and I love serving the Denver community as a stylist!

As a sensitive and intuitive person, I know how important it is to make time for self care in low-tox spaces. The atmosphere at Root & Shadow is designed to make you feel restored, taken care of, and like you belong here. It’s a space where you can take a deep breath. My services will make you feel energized, refreshed, and more like yourself. 

I’ve been a stylist for over 8 years now and couldn’t be more in love with my work. I specialize in custom haircuts that work for you and your lifestyle and I am proud to say that I take continuing education classes at least twice a year.

I always strive to create an elevated experience for my clients by exploring your hair holistically. We’ll talk when you come in about how your haircut and color fit into your maintenance routine, in and out of the salon. I always make sure you know what tools you need at home to maintain, style, and care for your hair. Every visit is an opportunity for something new if you want it. 

Outside of the salon, I am usually practicing yoga, cooking or baking, and pampering my sweet chihuahua, Muscles, who you’ll find in the salon on a regular basis. I also love any grandma activities like crochet, gardening, and sewing.
